The 3rd graders of the Mountains, Meadows, and Forests class visited the 4th floor this week.
Ms.Choi, Middle School Director of School Initiatives and Improvements, spoke to them about their role as investigators. This was the 3rd grader's second visit to our floor and now they were going to be gathering more information about the similarities and differences between their grade and the 4th grade.
The third graders were also going to meet the 4th graders today. They were very excited!
As they listened carefully to Ms.Choi, Ms. Galarza was working with the 4th graders in the next room. The 4th graders were noting down their favorite field trip, a challenging topic in math, and a STEAM presentation that they would share with a third grader.
Max, one of our 4th graders, explained the daily 4th/5th grade schedule for Tuesday. Third graders noticed that we have worship at the end of the day, specials are after lunch, and snack can be eaten at different times during the day.
The 3rd graders then paired up with 4th graders, and were given a tour of the classroom as they talked about the differences between grades. Our fourth graders have lockers and some enjoy putting personal touches and decorations on top of their lockers. The Park closet was popular as this is where we store the equipment for park.
Polly is explaining MUG & POD and how morning work needs to be completed by the end of the week with the special incentive of Game Lunch every Friday.
Nicolas talked to Jonas about computers and how you can use them in Literacy and STEAM. Nicolas also shared some rules about laptops and when you can email each other and your teachers.
