Thunder & Lightning had a great time at Orchestra Moves, a highly interactive concert at Carnegie Hall this Tuesday.
Our students sang with the orchestra and joined in during the concert with their recorders.
We also had professional musicians give us a small sampling of their music preconcert.
Per Ms. Mauldin, "Each year, even though the theme cycles, they put a new twist to it and it never feels the same. I love that the kids get to see the historic Carnegie Hall, hear a wonderful orchestra (St. Luke's Orchestra led by Maestro Rossen Milanov) perform live, experience standard and new experimental repertoires, and more. I love that they put visuals, have dancers, and always have a special ensemble (this year it was the Samba group)."
