Today, we interviewed some students as they worked on their STEAM Energy models today. We asked what they've learned from the project, what was a challenge in making their model, and what was fun about this STEAM unit.
I learned that Wind Energy is natural energy but it's not the best energy in the world because it kills a lot of the world environment. - Owen S.
It's fun to build stuff out of scratch rather than a built set because it feels original. You have freedom to do what you want. - Cooper
Fossil fuel is a green house gas. - Anthony
We're making a model of the stages of fossil fuel. If you burn it's a deadly gas that contributes to global warming, pollution, and acid rain - Polly
Solar energy is clean and green. - Julia
Solar energy is clean energy and helps the environment. The rays of the sun reflect of the solar panel which can hurt birds that fly above. - Sandy
The cost of it is expensive and you have to chop the forest to make farms. - Madyson
At the end (nuclear energy) there's toxic waste in the water and its so toxic that it needs to be put in bins far away in cities. But it doesn't pollute much. - Zane
When you read the instructions for this project it may look easy but when you do it, it's much harder. - Dante
