Halloween at MSS and Sleep

Halloween

We ask that parents do not send children to school in costume or send treats for the class this Friday. We know that Halloween is special for many children, however, we do want to respect the different ways families spend this day. We will have a normal day of school Friday and will enjoy hearing about the anticipation of the weekend’s activities.

The Importance of Sleep

  • Most kids in kindergarten to grade 8 require 9-11 hours of sleep each night.
  • Children do not get by on 8 hours of sleep and our oldest children usually need 11 hours a night, due to their rapid growth (that would be 11 hours in a room without a TV, computer, or device).
