Aunty Joyce's Farm
"So, Joyce, how many years have we been visiting your farm?"
"Well, the first year you came, my son was 18. Now, he's 40."
(That means the first Mustard seed students to visit Auntie Joyce are now about 31 or 32 years old. )
Again, this year, Auntie Joyce hosted our students. Children, like hundreds of students before them, did the corn field run, collected artifacts on a scavenger hunt, played on the tire swing, held chickens, and watched the cows (though I think the cows were watching us). It was a gift.
Auntie Joyce talked about the gifts that we all have, prayed her thanks, and asked for God's blessing on each one.
Then she gave her annual invitation. If you and your parents ever find yourselves on route 78 or 81, please call me and tell me you would like to visit. Over the years, some have done just that.
